How to Make Homemade Facials


Making your own home made facials is easy


And you can be sure they don't have any weird chemicals or harmful ingredients that may dry your skin or worse. Even though these homemade facials are created from natural ingredients, you should still use them sparingly - every other day or only once a week, as needed.


You can add almost any kind of essential oil to any of these homemade facial recipes. Just a few drops! Even if you have oily skin, an essential oil can still be helpful and healing. Buy some Vitamin E capsules and add a few drops of Vitamin E oil to each treatment for an extra healing boost.


The best skincare recipes are made from ingredients you have available right in your kitchen, so get out a couple of glass bowls and a wooden spoon, and get mixing!

Homemade Facial


Supplies You May Need

Make your own facials for Dry Skin:


  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, warmed slightly
  • 1 tablespoon honey, warmed slightly

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Apply to face and neck, wait for it to dry, then rinse off using warm (not hot) water. Pat dry - never rub.



Make your own facials for Oily Skin:


Use a food processor, blender, or coffee grinder to make oat flour out of 1/4 cup regular oatmeal. Make a paste with a little warm milk, egg white, honey, or just plain water. Apply to skin, massaging gently for 2-5 minutes. Allow to dry and rinse off with cool water.

Citrus Mask for Oily Skin:
  • 1/2 large grapefruit, peeled
  • 1/2 cored and unpeeled apple
  • 1 egg white
  • 30 seedless grapes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Combine ingredients in a blender or food processor. Apply the mask to your face and let it work for about 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water (not hot) and pat dry.
