Homemade Hair Spray Recipe

This homemade hair spray keeps your hair in place, without making your hair look stiff. Also, it does not have the artificial smell that most shop bought hairsprays have.

You do not necessarily have to use the vodka, but it does make the spray last longer.

 

 

Making Your Own Hairspray

What You Will Need

• 1 lemon
• 10 fl oz (300ml) water
• 2 tablespoons vodka

How To Make Your Own Hair Spray

1. Place the lemon (chopped into pieces) into a saucepan with the water.



2. Bring it to the boil, then cover and simmer until the lemon softens (this takes approx 20 minutes).



3. Strain and then leave to sit until it's completely cooled.



4. Transfer the liquid into a sterilized spray bottle (this can be done by washing the bottle and then rinsing with a little neat vodka)



5. Next add the vodka then give it a quick shake.
