The lights in the eyes are Christmas lights that I soldered up and wired to 5 battery packs. I painted the chains to look like they were bloody.
I am 5’3 and the costume is 6’7, so I made it so that I could get inside of the costume with the pumpkin head above me. I could still see where to walk through a sheer window made out of old window screen, painted black and glue gunned to a opening that I trimmed out by the zipper, worked great!
Everybody was talking to the head, when my real head was in the chest of the costume, I laughed all night at that. The controls for the lights were by my hands at my knees.
This costume worked perfect, it took me 2 months to get it comfortable enough to wear to a Halloween party. It only cost me $35.00 for all of the stuff, start at the thrift stores first, then the dollar store and work on it!
Thanks for having the contest.
