Basically the process of transforming sun light into electrical energy is a very innovative process, which could save people a lot of money.
A common question asked in the field of energy is how does solar energy work?
Not enough people realize that the sun is one of the most abundant forms of power that we could utilize, but for now only a handful of people are relying on it.
Having said that, we must also understand that a lot of folks just can’t afford solar power, they want to have it, but they are simply waiting for the cost to go down. And to be fair this IS happening, as with most things the cost of solar panels is reducing year by year. Do a simple online search or check for Solar panel on Amazon and you’ll soon see what I mean.
But each month thousands of searches are done on-line for homemade solar panels so we did some research to see what it was all about. After some interesting research we eventually got the truth behind homemade solar panels and here’s what we found!
A Little Truth About Homemade Solar Panels
You are probably not going to like this statement, and although I really don’t want you to stop reading this page, my mission here is to help you save some of your ‘hard earned cash’, not to mention a heck of a lot of your time. So here go’s…
I know this is not the answer you are looking for, but home made solar panels just don’t last.
There’s a lot of websites out there selling guides and plans showing you how to make your own solar panels for $200 or less. But while reviewing them I got to thinking that it wasn’t adding up…
If this was really possible then why are they selling me a cheap guide and not making more cash by selling me the solar panels?
Why It Does’nt Work
Now if you got lucky enough to be reading this page then I can tell you categorically, that if you try this you would be wasting your time. Homemade solar panels start out working very well, but they quickly fail due to the moisture in our atmosphere and wind vibration. They are also prone to expansion or contraction due to temperature changes.
As far as we can see from our investigations, the only way to make a true reliable and lasting solar panel is to encapsulate the cells in some form of plastic. To achieve this you would need to use the same specialized (and very expensive) equipment used by the manufacturers.
In a nutshell manufactured panels are more reliable and they have a 20 year replacement warranty.
Even if your home solar panel does the job, over 20 years you would probably have to make them again and again and end up paying more and wasting your valuable time! And let’s be honest, spending $200 making a dodgy solar panel is probably not wise when you can get the real thing for as little as $500.
Don’t Fall For The Scam
So please don’t waste your time or be fooled by the many renewable energy scams out on the web. There are no ‘real’ short cuts and there are no real DIY plans that let you make homemade solar panels on the cheap, in the end you will finish up paying more.
Solar Panels are getting cheaper every year and they are very cost effective. You really would be better off shopping around for new solar panels, as there are some very competitive prices online!
