Perfume bottle

I am having a go at making my own perfume and I have noticed you mention using glass bottles to keep your perfume in, is this a must or can I use a plastic one?

Always use glass perfume bottles
by: Angela

Hi Nina
Not only will perfume last longer in a glass bottle most plastics contain toxins. The alcohol and essential oils can penetrate the plastic and cause the toxins to break down and contaminate the oils, so it?s wiser to steer clear of plastic altogether.

Besides glass bottles look so much nicer and you can pick up some lovely ones from charity stores and yard sales for next to nothing, just remember to give them a good wash out and rinse with a little vodka before using.
