Measuring Homemade Soap Ingredients?

When measuring homemade soap ingredients which standard of ounces do you use for which ingredients?

Do you use liquid ounces for water and liquid oils or do you use solid weight ounces for all ingredients?

Little difference
by: Angela

Hi There
I'm pretty sure theres little difference, an oz is an oz. So 1oz just means its solid and 1floz means its a liquid.

In a recipe it will state if it is an ounce or a fluid ounce. So when you are measuring a fluid oz, you would use a measuring jug, and just make sure you look at eye level to be certain that you are on the mark. When measuring solids you would simply use scales to get the correct oz.

That's the way I do it and I hope this answerer's your question.....If not please fire another question here.
