Homemade Potpourri

Homemade Potpourri

Homemade Potpourri works really well with fragrant roses that have dried on the stem while either in a vase or on the bush. Select flowers that have dried with color, shred the petals to about a quarter inch size, and put in a baby food jar (or similar sized jar).

Add 2-3 pieces of 1/2 to 1 inch lengths of cinnamon sticks, and 2-3 cloves with their little domes crushed. Cover the mouth of the jar with netting, and tie at the neck with ribbon. This size works well for small spaces like a powder room.

Does anyone else have an individual homemade potpourri recipe? I would love to see more, please post them as comments below.
