Homemade face scrubs, homemade exfoliators and body scrubs have so many benefits. And a homemade body scrub can often be a little too harsh for the sensitive skin on your face.
So if you want to exfoliate your facial skin below is a nice and gentle homemade face scrub for you that will leave your skin hydrated and refreshed, and you should notice a reduction in the size of your pores.
Your skin will also have a healthy glow when you're done!
Mix ingredients through really well. This face scrub is a little thicker than the usual facial scrubs, although you can add a little more oil if you prefer.
Massage your scrub into your face and neck using a gentle circular motion. Continue to massage gently for a couple of minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
This homemade face scrub is mild and gentle enough to use on sensitive skin.
Make the infusion by placing a couple of handfuls of flowers or herbs into a heat proof jug and pour over a pint of boiling water.
Cover and leave to cool. Strain the mixture into a container or bottle and store in the refrigerator to use as and when needed.
If you cant get your hands on the fresh flowers or herbs you need use dried or tea bags as a substitute.
Mix the oatmeal with 3 tablespoons of the infusion and leave to soften for a few minutes.
Massage into the face and leave for five minutes the rinse off and pat dry.
The almond oil in this face scrub makes it an excellent one for dry skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth.
Leaving out the almond oil will give you a gentle but deep cleaning facial scrub suitable for any one suffering with acne.
This cornmeal face scrub is great for oily skin, and the lemon juice adds to the acid layer.
Mild and gentle so it's a good one to start with.
