Homemade Dog BiscuitsYour dog will be happy to work for these homemade dog treats as a reward during training sessions.

Rather than buy expensive biscuits, it’s easy to make your own at home that are healthy and often cheaper to make than the commercial biscuits.

They’ll also contain far less artificial additives and preservatives, so you’ll know your beloved dog is getting the very best care from you with these homemade dog biscuit recipes.

Peanut Butter Doggy Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup peanut butter (smooth)
  • 1 cup milk
Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Method

  1. Before you begin making these homemade dog biscuits, you should preheat your oven to 375F (190C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking tray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Use a separate bowl to mix the peanut butter and milk to form a smooth paste and then add this to the flour mix.
  4. Mix these together well until they form a thick dough.
  5. Lightly flour a clean bench or surface and knead the dough lightly. Roll the dough out until it’s approximately 1/4 inch (1/2 centimeter) thick.
  6. Cut the dough into bite-sized squares, or use a cookie cutter to create shapes if you wish.
  7. Place the cookies onto the baking tray and bake them for around 20 minutes until they turn a light golden-brown. Watch them carefully as they have a tendency to burn relatively easily.
  8. Remove cooked cookies from the oven and allow them to cool completely before offering them to your dog.
  9. Store any unused cookies in an air tight container until needed.
