Nancy Drew
The kids were asked by their school to dress up as children's book characters.
Kamryn dressed as Nancy Drew (from the Disney Movie) complete with Nancy Drew's Bag with all the accessories. I searched everywhere to see if a similar bag was for sale, but we ended up having to make that also. 100% Homemade. However this would be very easy to put together without any sewing. 60's outfit and messenger bag.
Paige was a power puff girl with the glasses to look like Bubbles eye's and a wig to look like her hair. This was completely Homemade. Blue dress with black ribbon and glasses with felt glued to them. Also very Easy.
Kaylee was Madeline. This was great for her. She is also six years old, and has a personality like the real Madeline! Always getting into a jam and being outspoken, but loving and nice at the same time. This costume is also totaly homemade. Spray paint a straw hat yellow , put a ribbon around it add a blue dress and yellow rain jacket. Also very easy if you do not sew.
Lilyan, our 3 year old dressed as Corduroy Bear (A Pocket for Corduroy). We figured the pocket could be used for her Halloween Candy. 100% Homemade. Alittle harder. But if you can find a bear costume, find a pair of kids corduroy overalls and sew a pocket on it.
All the costumes were 100% homemade. Even Nancy Drew's bag. No patterns. But you could do the same thing by finding similar items at your local thrift store. For pretty cheap.
