All About Home Made EnergySo how far can we really go with homemade energy? Home made energy is fast becoming the buzz word in eco circles. Consumers are becoming fed up with the problems associated with using conventional energy resources. The term "alternative energy" or "renewable energy" means any thing other than deriving energy via Fossil Fuel Combustion. Generally, it refers to electrical power derived from resources such as solar or wind energy, as opposed to "single-use" resources such as coal or uranium. Basicly the concept of alternative energy sources relates to issues of sustainability, renewability and pollution reduction. 90% of our current energy usage is derived from fossil fuels and since there is only 50--70 years of production left in that resource then there is a clear need to invest in alternative energy sources NOW not later. So it's clear that homemade energy sources like wind, solar and biomass will be playing an important role in our future. From an Eco point of view, the benefit of using a renewable energy source is huge. Solar, wind and water power are all nonemission power sources. This means that no harmful exhaust is produced when using these alternative energy generators. Another huge plus is that no valuable resources are "used up" with renewable energy resources. There is no shortage of wind, water or sun, so every home on the planet could be powered with one of these alternative energy sources. The main barrier to all of these forms of alternative energy is the initial high costs involved at the point of installation. The good news is that the cost of alternative energy is coming down year by year. Below we have some examples of how you can make your own energy or ways to make it more affordable Share Your
