Bathroom Cleansing Scrup

by Coleen
(Edwardsville, IL)

My father-in-law came to live with us and is loosing abilities. Rather than risk my family getting sick, I made my own homemade cleansing scrub to use on all surfaces (including the toilet bowl - remove most of the water with the plunger first) when cleaning the bathroom.

I have vinegar water in a spray bottle to rinse or I use some wipes made with a vinegar base.

For the scrub I put 2 cups of baking soda 1/2 cup salt and 1/2 cup borax. Mix. Add the combination of these essential oils (from a recipe for thieves oil) 10 drops clove, 10 drops lemon, 10 drops cinnamon, 5 drops eucalyptus, and 3 drops rosemary.

It's Christmas time and so far we've only had a mild fever a month ago and another daughter has a cough. We live in the sinus capital of the world so that is saying something. Knock on wood.

Very good!
by: Penny

This works really well! I use it to clean my entire bathroom. It's so much cheaper than having to buy a decent cleaner from the store. Plus, I had a lot of the ingredients in my home anyway. Thanks for posting this, it's good to have homemade cleaning scrup around the house.
